The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP)
is the only food aid agency of the United Nations whose mission is to eradicate hunger and poverty.
The program provides food aid to over 120 countries and regrions
to victims of natural disasters and conflicts,
improvement of nutritional conditions, and providing school lunches.
"Red Cup Campaign" is a program,
in which supports activities
to provide free school lunches to children in developing countries.
The red cups used as containers for school lunches are the mark of this campaign,
and companies that support this campaign sell products with the campaign mark and
donate a portion of the proceeds to support school lunches.
If children in developing countries are able to receive school lunches every day,
not only will their nutritional status improve,
but they will also have more opportunities for education, eventually leading to an improvement in the poverty problem in countries.
