<Materiality Identification Process>

We considered and identifiedmateriality through the following process.

STEP 1 Identifying and extracting issues

We have comprehensively grasped social issues by referring to market changes (mega trends), international guidelines such as the GRI Standards, and evaluation items from ESG evaluation agencies. In order to identify issues for our Group in light of social issues, we conducted a value chain analysis, management/business analysis, mega trend analysis, and stakeholder analysis to identify issues.

STEP 2 Organizing and consolidating issues

We compared the issues extracted in each analysis in STEP 1 against our group's philosophy, policies, strategies, and society's expectations and demands for the group, and organized and consolidated the issues.

STEP 3 Impact assessment

The issues organized and summarized in STEP 2 were evaluated along two axes: "the degree of impact the Group has on society and the environment" and "the degree of impact society and the environment have on the Group's management." Issues with a high degree of impact on each were positioned as materiality candidates.

STEP 4 Identifying materiality

After approval, we identified our materiality.

Sustainability Promotion Structure and Promotion Plan

MEDIUS Group considers sustainability to be an important pillar and has established a "Sustainability Committee" and a "Sustainability Specialist Committee." The committee is chaired by President and CEO Medius Holdings Co., Ltd. and is composed of the Director in charge of sustainability, who serves as Executive Chairman, Executive Officers, Specialist Chairs, and other members, and is responsible for identifying materiality (important issues), formulating strategies and goals, managing and evaluating the progress of measures, and rolling them out to the entire group. Five sustainability specialist committees have been established, and the contents of discussions at each specialist committee are compiled and reported to the Board of Directors through the Sustainability Committee. The Board of Directors oversees the status of initiatives by the executive side and provides feedback to the Sustainability Committee.
